STUDENT RIGHT TO KNOW AND CAMPUS SECURITY ACT OF 1990Edit

The Student Right to Know and Campus Security Act of 1990 (now known as the Clery Act) is a federal mandate which requires that all current students and employees be provided with information on policies and procedures involving campus security, the reporting of criminal action or other emergencies, and the enforcement authority of security personnel. This information must also include descriptions of programs for students and employees about campus security and crime prevention, as well as statistics on the occurrence of specific crimes. Notification of the annual security report is made by the College/University’s Director of Security and the full report is posted on the College/University website each October [insert URL here]. Hard copies are available from Campus Police/Security on request.
